AGCSA Golf Championship
The AGCSA Golf Championship proudly supported by Toro will be played on Sunday, 24 June. The format for 2018 will see a stroke and stableford competition played at Royal Wellington Golf Club.
Situated alongside the Hutt River near Silverstream, Royal Wellington offers an enjoyable and stimulating golfing challenge in a beautiful setting. This private member, parkland course boasts thousands of mature native and exotic trees and abundant bird life. This picturesque setting, coupled with a number of creeks, a large lake and undulating greens complexes will see golfer enjoy a day in the beautiful Hutt Valley while being tested by a fabulous course.
Stroke Gross - AGSCA Superintendent members with a handicap of 12 or less
Stoke Nett - Superintendents with a handicap greater than 12 and all low handicap turf practitioners (including assistants, curators, groundstaff, greenkeepers and turf technicians).
Stableford - All turf technicians with a handicap greater than 12 (including superintendents, assistants, curators, groundstaff, greenkeepers and turf technicians).
To be eligible to win in any of the categories, players must supply an official handicap and golf link or dotgolf number.
Shotgun Start at 12 noon.
The golf is open to all practicing "turfies" with the competition you play in determined by your handicap. If playing in the stableford competition you may request playing partners/groups.
Buses will depart from TSB Arena at approx 10.00am (TBC), returning at approximately 8.30pm.
Trophies and prizes for all competitions will be presented during dinner.
$150.00 NZD (includes transport, green fees, light lunch, on course snacks and dinner).
Dress Code and Etiquette
Royal Wellington is a members' golf club with a proud history and strong golfing traditions. For all members, guests and visitors, please no denim clothing. Branding or logos should be discreet. Shirts that just cover the belt may be worn outside shorts, pants or trousers.
For men - smart casual: collared shirt, or polo-neck; tailored shorts, slacks or plus fours; and socks that are white or predominantly white or complement the colour of other clothing. Socks should be pulled up when wearing shorts.
For women - smart casual: collared shirt, tailored pants, three-quarter pants, or tailored shorts and skirts. Socks should complement the colour of clothing.
Where members, guests and visitors are playing golf, the above golfing attire and clean shoes, including spikeless golf shoes, may normally be worn in the clubhouse prior to or following play.
