WCGALP Scholarships

The deadline to apply for a scholarship has passed.

WCGALP has a limited number of scholarships available for MSc & PhD-students who have limited finance available for participation in the conference. These scholarships will cover the registration fee and an additional €500 will be made available in case of physical (and not on-line) participation. The fee may include an excursion and the Wednesday party to stimulate networking.

To be eligible for a scholarship a paper should be submitted through the link for submitting papers on the WCGALP website. Also a mail should be sent before the deadline of 12 January 2022 to wcgalp@wur.nl with a motivation why opting for the scholarship, the abstract number, and stating whether participation will be physical or on-line. The mail should be accompanied by a letter of the supervisor stating the projected graduation date (should be after 12 January 2022) and confirming supervisorship.
As part of the conference all submitted papers will be judged on scientific quality for acceptance. Awarding of the scholarships will be based on this judged scientific quality, together with the motivation letter.

The scholarships haven been made possible by the Rommert R.D. Politiek Foundation, the American Society for Animal Science (ASAS), NZV and URUS. We aim at 50% of the scholars to be physically present in Rotterdam, and 50% to participate on-line.
